What You Can Expect

This is a beginner friendly doubles league with no gender rules/ requirements. Play with 2 on your team if you want maximum playing time. Take 3 or 4 if you're more social. You play 5 games a night. The regular season lasts 6 weeks. The 7th week is the playoffs (all teams qualify).

Additional Info

Doubles leagues are 2 hours (play 5 games). Indy leagues are 1 hour (play 4 games).

All our leagues are Ladder Style: This means every week your opponents are those who are ranked closest to you in the standings. The best players work their way up to court 1, while newer players are grouped on the lower courts. This allows for fair matchups and allows players of varying abilities to play in the same league.

Beginner Friendly means that the people who choose to play in this league self-identify as a beginner or are comfortable playing with beginners.

Team Size: A team may carry up to 4 players on the roster. Only two players are needed. Adding a third and/or fourth player on the roster ensures you can always field a full team, even when someone is unavailable for reasons such as work, illness, or family obligations. The team price remains the same regardless of the number of players and having more teammates can reduce the per-person cost. Teams play a minimum of 5 games per night and additional players can take turns, giving everyone a chance to play.

Join our Facebook Group Long Island Pickleball Partners (over 1,000 members). Players often post there about tournaments and to find partners.

If part of your team is unable to attend, and you have less than the required amount of players, you are allowed to bring a sub during the regular season. Only rostered players may participate in the playoffs.

All processing fees have been eliminated! The price you see is the exact price you pay!

Your signup and teammate info will be visible in your locker room. We will build out your league's webpage with schedules and teams. You'll receive 3 pre-season emails from us. The first for all LI-Kick players, the second specific to your sport and a few days before your league begins, you'll receive an email from your league director with information specific to your league. You can always emails us at info@li-kick.com with any questions.

ELO is a rating that reflects a player's skill relative to other players in the league. When you beat a good player, your ELO rating goes up, however when you suffer an upset, your ELO rating goes down. Our leagues use ELO as it continually adjusts to match a player's evolving skill level and provides a reliable metric for matchmaking and rankings. Players from previous seasons have their ELO carry over while new players will be assigned an 'initial ELO' to start their season.
