A team captain registers and pays for the entire team. You'll need the names, emails and birthdates of all your teammates. Team size and gender requirements vary by league. Corporate Teams are always welcome in any of our leagues.
You can sign up with a group of friends and be put on the same team. Once registration ends we will merge you with other groups that compliment your group's demographics to create a full team.
Signing up as a free agent is an awesome way to meet new people. Add some supplementary information when signing up and we will do our best to place you on a team with players near your age.
Nope! You can register as a individual or with a small group of friends and be kept together, in fact, most first time players join this way. When you register we'll ask a few simple questions and do our best to fill out your roster with players like you.
Yes! Each year over a thousand different players play in one of our leagues across Long Island. The size of our leagues varies by sport and location but range from anywhere from 50 - 300 players in any season. All our leagues are coed, and many are split evenly between men and women.
You'll need at least 6 men and 6 women to join as your own team, however we only recommend this sized roster for experienced teams. Generally we recommend a roster of 15-18 for new teams which is why our team-pricing is based on that. If you don't have a full roster, we can attempt to add free agents.
In addition to the weekly game, many of our leagues also include a series of mini-challenges. The challenges vary by league, but generally teams are awarded points for bar attendance, taking and sharing photos and playing & winning different bar games. Games may occur on the field or at the leagues sponsor bar. The team with the most points at the end of the season will be crowned the Bar Champs and earn some fun swag and bragging rights.
Registration covers the cost of equipment, facility use, umpires/refs and a team shirt. You'll also be given access to the various social events we host and sponsor throughout the year.
Our players have different skill levels and motivations for playing, we do our best to make the games fun and competitive for everyone. We generate a random schedule at the start of the season, but to avoid blowouts, we may make adjustments to keep the games fun for everyone. Depending on the size of the league, we may break teams up into different divisions or brackets.
For playoffs, we typically break into different brackets based on standings.
In case of inclement weather, games will be cancelled two hours prior to game time through e-mail.
We typically will schedule make-up games during the season in the form of a double header (games may be shortened to accommodate). We may also consider extending the season (if possible).
We want you to get as much field/game time as possible and will do our best to deliver that to you, but we are restricted by field availability, daylight, and season changes and if multiple rain-outs occur we may need to modify the play-off schedule or cancel games entirely.
