PLAYER MOVEMENT

These player movement rules ensure the Semi Pro structure is rigid enough to provide a competitive experience. Is if fair enough to allow the bottom teams the best chance of improving. It is flexible to accommodate our β€˜real’ lives.

There will be a draft held the Wednesday before each tournament to fairly distribute players in the draft pool onto franchises that need players. The draft order is the inverse of the standings. (worst team picks first)

Draft pool players can be used by any franchise as a temporary 'sub' player whenever they need a player for a tournament. Players who want to join Semi Pro, but did not join at the start of the year, are also entered into the draft pool.
  • Cuts: After each tournament a captain is allowed to make one cut from their franchise. The cut player is re-entered into the draft pool and must be replaced by a player from the draft pool.
  • Withdraws: A player that doesn't 'vibe' with their franchise can withdraw and reenter the draft pool

-There is a potential to add expansion franchises based on demand and space.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. We provide enough cornhole bags for the entire league, however you are welcome to bring your own, provided that they are 'normal' cornhole bags.

We don't accept individual players for cornhole. You will need to join with at least one partner. If you need a partner, please post in our Facebook Group 'Cornhole on Long Island'.

A team may carry up to 4 players on the roster. Only two players are needed. Adding a third and/or fourth player on the roster ensures you can always field a full team, even when someone is unavailable for reasons such as work, illness or family obligations. The team price remains the same regardless of number of players and having more teammates can reduce the per person cost. Teams play a minimum of 4 games per night and additional players can take turns, giving everyone a chance to play. Only take 2 players if you want maximum playing time.

Your signup and teammate info will be visible in your locker room. We will build out your league's webpage with schedules and teams. You'll receive 3 pre-season emails from us. The first for all LI-Kick players, the second specific to your sport and a few days before your league begins, you'll receive an email from your league director with information specific to your league. You can always emails us at info@li-kick.com with any questions.

You'll play a minimum of 4 games a night. Leagues that have extra time may play 5 or even 6 games a night.

We have people who have been playing for years and others who are just starting out. ALL are welcome. The thing we're most serious about is having fun.
