Rules

It is our aim to provide teams with a fun, social experience with about 2 hours of gameplay per night. Rules last updated 03/23/2019.

The Game

  • You'll bowl two games each night.
  • The minimum team size is 4 and the maximum team size is 6, with no gender requirements.
  • Players are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early for warm-ups
  • The season is 7 weeks long, including playoffs. All teams play every night, including the playoffs.
  • Sub's are allowed if a player can't make it.
  • Games can be prebowled if nessecary. Teams must first get approval of their league director and scores must be verified by the bowling alley and have a picture taken that is sent to the league director.

Scoring

  • Four Points will be rewarded for each game.
  • Your team's highest score will be matched up against your opponent's highest score for 1 point.
  • Your team's secord highest score will be matched up against your opponent's second highest score for 1 point.
  • Your team's third highest score will be matched up against your opponent's third highest score for 1 point.
  • Your team's top 3 average will be matched up against your opponent's top 3 average for 1 point.
  • If there is a tie in any of the above matchups, both teams will get 0.5 point (in the regular season).
  • There are no handicaps.

Playoffs

  • A sub can play in the playoffs if they played atleast 1 game during the regular season provided they filled out the sub-registration form.
  • Playoffs follow the same regular season scoring as defined above.
  • In the event of a Tie (2-2), the top 3 bowlers from each team will compete in a roll-off
  • In the roll-off, each frame is scored independently.
  • Strikes are worth 11 points. Spares are worth 10 points. Open frames are worth their pin-fall.
  • The team with the higher score at the close of the frame wins. If there is a tie the roll-off continues until a winner is determined.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nope! You can register as a individual or with a small group of friends and be kept together, in fact, most first time players join this way. When you register we'll ask a few simple questions and do our best to fill out your roster with players like you.

Yes! Each year over a thousand different players play in one of our leagues across Long Island. The size of our leagues varies by sport and location but range from anywhere from 50 - 300 players in any season. All our leagues are coed, and many are split evenly between men and women.

Registration covers the cost of equipment, facility use, umpires/refs and a team shirt. You'll also be given access to the various social events we host and sponsor throughout the year.

Our players have different skill levels and motivations for playing, we do our best to make the games fun and competitive for everyone. We generate a random schedule at the start of the season, but to avoid blowouts, we may make adjustments to keep the games fun for everyone. Depending on the size of the league, we may break teams up into different divisions or brackets.

For playoffs, we typically break into different brackets based on standings.
