Additional Info

I am so excited to get the fall season started and I hope you are too! This email will be long but contains some important info about our league so please be sure to read everything :)

Here's what to expect on Night 1:

• You will meet your teammates and receive a team shirt. Wear cleats if you have them! If you happen to miss week 1, your team captain will have your shirt for you on week 2.
• Each team will receive a team ball labeled with your team name. It is your responsibility to bring your ball each week. We will be using these balls to play with!
• Games need to start ON TIME! If you aren't familiar with scheduling at Deer Park, games run every hour for three hours. Our start times are 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, and 8:30PM. Each game is alotted ONE HOUR. Your one hour begins AT YOUR START TIME whether you are there or not! I recommend arriving a few minutes early to avoid having your game cut short.
• Say cheese! Our photographer will be coming around to snap some action shots & team photos!
• BAR GAMES! Each week we will be holding a bar game on the field! Head over to our bar coordinator, Carly, to participate in the bar game!

There are 12 teams in this league, and we will be following an East/West format this season. We will have 2 evenly divided divisions. Our regular season will be 6 weeks long, and in those 6 weeks, each team will play every other team in their division, plus 2 in the opposite division. Week 5 is our crossover week, where everyone will play a team in the opposite division according to seed.

Most of you know the rules, but for our rookies, here's a quick rundown of how we roll:

• 10 players on the field (max 5 men), everyone kicks, and the order must be alternating genders (the exception being free agent teams who may have un-even rosters).
• Mercy rules come into play when the losing team is down by 8 runs or more. They will get to play with 2 additional fielders and a 4th out until they can bring the deficit down to less than 8 runs.
• Pegging is allowed and so is bunting. But keep in mind that if the catcher retrieves the ball before the runner makes it to first base- the kicker is given 2 strikes and must kick again.
