Kickball is a super fun game followed by an awesome after party at the sponsor bar. The sport is coed and for players of all abilities. Players are super cool, inviting and in it for a good time- just like you. This is a Bar Champs league. There will be a separate set of standings for Bar Points.

Additional Info

Start times may include 6pm and 7pm. The league will be split into D1 and D2 if we have 12+ teams.

This is a Bar Champs LeagueAt the end of the night, make your way down to our sponsor bar, Fatty McGees. There is where you will relax and unwind while making new friends/frenemies. I do not advise you to skip out if you are here to make friends!!! We'll have weekly bar games to earn your team bar points. The team with the most bar points at the end of the season will be named BAR CHAMPS!!!

Theme Week: The summer theme is Beach Party and is held July 30th to August 4th.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nope! Most of our leagues and tournaments allow you to join as a free agent or with one or with a group of friends (while being kept together), in fact, most first time players join this way. When you register we'll ask a few simple questions and we'll do our best to fill out your roster with players like you. That said, the free agent pool for some leagues, like cornhole are limited so your best bet is to join with a friend and form a complete team.

In addition to the weekly game, many of our leagues also include a series of mini-challenges. The challenges vary by league, but generally teams are awarded points for bar attendance, taking and sharing photos and playing & winning different bar games. Games may occur on the field or at the leagues sponsor bar. The team with the most points at the end of the season will be crowned the Bar Champs and earn some fun swag and bragging rights.

Generally, registration covers the cost of equipment, facility use, umpires/refs and a team shirt. You'll also be given access to the various social events we host and sponsor throughout the year.

Why I First Joined LI-Kick: I missed playing sports and making friends

Advice for New Players: Hang out after your game, be bold and introduce yourself, everyone is so friendly and open so if you come out you will get to know more people. Also, buy a round of shots, it has never failed me.

Proudest LI-Kick Moment: Running Kicks for Nick and a Night for Nick, which has shown LI-Kick come together as a community and we are more than competitors.

Ask me about my croc collection. Do I have a favorite pair? Of course, the ones that light up!

I joined LI-Kick to destress, meet new friends, and re-live my elementary school kickball glory.

When I’m not playing LI-Kick I am traveling the globe, trying new activities, or working in order to go to Disney…again.

Rules

View Full Rulebook

On defense, 10 players are in the field- 5 men and 5 women.

On offense, everyone can kick, you must alternate genders when kicking.

Any additional players may be included in the kicking lineup and be freely subbed in on defense. A minimum of 4m and 4f is required for an official game.

Games are 9-innings long. Bases are 60 feet apart.

This is slow pitch and the ball must be pitched in good faith with no intent to deceive, bounce, spin or speed the ball past the kicker. There are no strikes or balls, however a kicker can foul out for accumulating three fouls.

Bunting is legal, however there is a ‘catcher rule’ which states “a kicker will be given two strikes and the ball will be called dead if the catcher is able to possess the ball before the kicker reaches first base”. The kicker will kick again.

Fielders have the right of way when in possession of the ball or making an imminent play on the ball. Fielders must stay clear of the base paths in all other cases.

A play is over when a defensive player is on the mound with possession of the ball. Runners in motion will go to the base closest to them (half way rule).

We have an 8-4-12 Mercy Rule. When losing by 8 or more runs, the losing teams get 12 fielders on defense and 4 outs on offense for the entirety of the inning.

The umpire will exhibit and interpret these rules based on the ‘spirit of the game’ and the umpire’s decision is final in all matters. Only captains may ask an umpire for an explanation of a call and captains share in the responsibility of the conduct of their teammate’s behaviors.
