Ways To Play

Leagues

Weekly Leagues are the bread and butter of LI-Kick. Leagues are 7 week commitments to play at the same time, same place and same team for the season.

Mix and Matches

Mix & Matches are 1-time open play nights to meet people and play in a casual environment. You play with and against different people over multiple matches.

Tournaments

Tournaments are one day competitions that play a series of games. These are typically held on weekends and last several hours.

Semi Pro

Semi Pro is a tournament series that emulates professional sports in which players are evenly distributed to foster a competitive yet fair ecosystem.

Ways to Join

Complete Team

A team captain registers and pays for the entire team. You'll need the names, emails and birthdates of all your teammates. Team size and gender requirements vary by league. Corporate Teams are always welcome in any of our leagues.

Join as a Group

You can sign up with a group of friends and be put on the same team. Once registration ends we will merge you with other groups that compliment your group's demographics to create a full team.

Individuals & Free Agents

Signing up by yourself is an awesome way to meet new people. When you register we collect some supplementary information and do our best to place you on a team with players like you.

Why They Play

Kristin

My co-worker and I are both teachers who devote a lot of time to our jobs. Everyone is so nice and we felt welcomed right away. I am by no means β€˜super sporty’ but still have a great time every week! It is a great way to meet people and have something to look forward to during the week!

Blake

I Started playing in 2014 and have played 7 or 8 seasons. It’s one of my favorite things to look forward to every week. After long, brutal day at work, kickball is like the prize waiting for you where you can forget about work and life for a night and just have fun

Phyllicia

I started playing in 2017 and have met so many great people. LI-Kick gives me something to during the week as well as the weekends. LI-Kick has so much to offer- whether it’s a league, party or just a simple weekend get together- my social life never has a dull moment.

Kristina

Since joining LI-Kick I have made so many new friends. I have not only played in the sports leagues but have also attended parties, concerts, brunches, and barbeques. LI-Kick is not just a social sports league. My time playing has been quite rewarding, my social circle has grown, and I wouldn’t have chosen a different path.

What To Expect
A Run Down for Our Leagues

Sign up for League

Figure out which of our sports, locations and nights you'd like to join and sign-up. Registration typically closes about a week before the league starts, but many times leagues sell out before that date so don't delay!

Schedule Generated

Each season we do our best to come up with a fun and fair schedule. Seasons are generally 7 weeks long with playoffs being the last 1 or 2 weeks of the season.

Weekly E-mails

Each week your league coordinator will send out an e-mail recapping last weeks activites, set the stage for the next night of play, highlight players in your league and any upcoming events.

Game Night

Your welcome to come down early for warm-ups and to socialize with your fellow league-mates. The start times and duration of each game varies by league and we do our best to keep things running on time.

Stay Social

Joining our sport specific Facebook groups are a great way of connecting with players in your league and the best way of recruiting subs and building out a roster for the next season.

Playoffs

Generally every team plays in the playoffs. We split leagues up into different divisions to help balance competition and keep things fun for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got a Question? Get An Answer

Nope! Most of our leagues and tournaments allow you to join as a free agent or with one or with a group of friends (while being kept together). We'll do our best to fill out your roster with players that match your age and playing preference style.

Yes! Each year over a thousand different players play in one of our leagues across Long Island. The size of our leagues varies by sport and location but range from anywhere from 50 - 300 players in any season. All our leagues are coed, and many are split evenly between men and women.

Generally, registration covers the cost of equipment, facility use, umpires/refs and a team shirt (for leagues, see your league's shirt policy for details). You'll also be given access to the various social events we host and sponsor throughout the year.

Our players have different skill levels and motivations for playing, we do our best to make the games fun and competitive for everyone. We generate a random schedule at the start of the season, but to avoid blowouts, we may make adjustments to keep the games fun for everyone. Depending on the size of the league, we may break teams up into different divisions or brackets.

For playoffs, we typically break into different brackets based on standings.

We know that part of the fun is having a couple drinks with your friends while hanging out on the sidelines. That said, most of the venues we play at have strict rules regarding the consumption of beer and alcohol that we must enforce and we ask our players to follow these rules. When possible LI-Kick secures the proper permits to allow players to bring their own booze, in these cases those leagues and tournaments will indicate that this is allowed.

We thank you for supporting our bar sponsors and facilities by not attempting to sneak in outside drinks.

Your signup and teammate info will be visible in your locker room. We will build out your league's webpage with schedules and teams. You'll receive 3 pre-season emails from us. The first for all LI-Kick players, the second specific to your sport and a few days before your league begins, you'll receive an email from your league director with information specific to your league. You can always emails us at info@li-kick.com with any questions.

Yes, we offer one play nights called Mix & Matches. See li-kick.com/mix-match for upcoming events
